UTFCU Membership Requirements
ONCE A MEMBER, ALWAYS A MEMBER.
Any faculty, staff, physician, resident, student, or member of the University of Toledo Alumni Association can join the credit union. Also, if you are a member, any of your direct family members are eligible to join UT Federal Credit Union. Once a member, always a member is our slogan.
So, once you graduate, find a new job, move, no matter what, you are always a member. We try to get the word out, to educate, because we’ve actually had someone come in to close their account because they thought that once they stopped working at the University of Toledo, they thought that they were no longer able to be in the University of Toledo Federal Credit Union, which is not the case.
SAVINGS REQUIREMENTS
A minimum of $5.00 Membership Share is required for UTFCU membership.

What if I am not a student or employee… can I still join the credit Union?
YES, you can still join the UT Federal Credit Union, even if you are not a student or employee, you just need to join the University of Toledo Alumni Association.
What if I am not an alumni?
YES, you can still join the UT Federal Credit Union, even if you are not an alumni, you just need to join the University of Toledo Alumni Association.
But, how can I join the alumni association, if I am not an alumni?
EASY, if you are wanting to support the University of Toledo by being a member of the alumni association, you DO NOT need to be an alumni!

And then, circle back to join the credit union.
Also, if you join the credit union by way of the UT Alumni Association, be sure to put “UTFCU” in the promo section, and when you have a direct deposit activated or take out a loan product, we will reimburse you your first years dues into the UT Alumni Association.
